Essential Oils

Essential Oils are fragrant oils derived from bark, roots, stems, flowers or seeds of a plant. The cells that give a plant its fragrant smell are its "essence." When an essence is extracted from a plant, it becomes an essential oil. Oils are comprised of very small molecules that your body can absorb through the skin or nose. Once in your system, they interact with your body in various ways.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the century-old practice of using essential oils to support overall health and well-being, promote relaxation and help relieve stress. It has also been used to help treat a wide range of physical and mental conditions, including burns, infections, depression, insomnia, and high blood pressure.
These essential oils are formulated to work in harmony with the body and may have an ability to affect a person’s well-being to soothe, uplift and even heal.
Aromatherapy is normally used through inhalation or as a topical application. Inhaling essential oils stimulates the olfactory system, the part of the brain connected to smell, including the nose and the brain.

Essential oils are one of the best-smelling, naturally antibacterial options for homemade cleaning recipes. Add oils to your laundry routine, sanitize the kitchen and nix mold in the bathroom – all while making your house smell ‘clean’ – no scary fumes! You can use oils to freshen the air of living spaces or to breathe in their goodness by way of diffusing them.

Diluted essential oils can be added into your skincare routine by adding a few drops into your body cream, face cream or directly onto the skin for added skincare benefits such as hydration, anti-oxidants and toning the skin while helping to with skincare concerns such as inflammation, uneven skin tone, acne and wrinkles.
